Originally, following the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) in late 2022, the plan was to proceed directly to a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS). However, developments including a significantly larger ore body identified through drilling and potential efficiency gains from the Metso Alkaline Leach Process, led to a more measured approach.

Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) on track for Q1 2025, allowing for trade-off analysis before moving into a BFS​.

Basic engineering for the Mineral Processing Plant is complete, and key test work on processing routes is in its final stages​.

Environmental and permitting progress continues, with the company engaging regulators and advancing sustainability initiatives​.

Strong local government support, with the project explicitly referenced in Saxony’s new coalition agreement as a priority for streamlined approvals​.

With the PFS nearing completion, Zinnwald is positioning itself to play a crucial role in Europe’s battery supply chain and energy transition.
